“Father of Indonesian Cooperatives”

H. Mohammad Hatta was born on Bukittinggi, August 12,1902. The man who is familiarly called Bung Hatta was a freedom fighter. Not only as a freedom fighter, Bung Hatta also known as an organizational, political party activists, statesman, proclaimer, pioneer cooperatives, and a vice president of the first in Indonesia.His work in  politics began when he became a  treasurer of  Jong Sumatranen Bond  in 1916. His political knowledge  expanded rapidly when Hatta had often attended various lectures and political meetings. Ongoing basis, Hatta continued his work in politics.
Until in 1921 Hatta settled in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and joined a student associations homeland in the Netherlands, Indische Vereeniging. Initially, the organization just  an association of organizations for students, but soon turned to the organization of  fredoom movement when the three leaders of  Indische Partij (Suwardi Suryaningrat, Douwes Dekker, and Tjipto Mangunkusumu) joined the Indische Vereeniging which later changed their name to the Association of Indonesia (PI).The Association of Indonesia, Hatta began his career in political  as a treasurer in 1922 and became chairman in 1925. When He became as chairman of the PI, Hatta proclaimed the inaugural address entitled "World Economic Structure and Conflicts of Power".In his speech, he tried to analyzed  the structure of the world economy that existed at that time based on non-cooperative policy platform. Hatta successfully elected as chairman of the PI until 1930 with a very significant development evidenced by the development of the political mind of the Indonesian people
As a  chairman of the PI at the time, Hatta led the delegation of Congres  International Democracy for peace in Berville, France, in 1926. He started to introduce the name of Indonesia and since then the name of Indonesia is known among international organizations. In 1927, Hatta joined the League Against Imperialism and Colonialism in the Netherlands and acquainted with the Indian nationalist activists, Jawaharhal Nehru.His political activity in this organization caused his self  was capture  by Dutch soldier along with Nazir St. Pamontjak, Sastroamijoyo, and Abdul madjid Djojodiningrat before finally released after he spoke with defense speech entitled: Indonesia Free.In 1932, Hatta returned to Indonesia and joined the Indonesian National Education Club organization which aims to raise political awareness of the Indonesian people with their training.
In 1933, Sukarno exiled to Ende, Flores. This action raised strong reaction from Hatta. He began to wrote about Sukarno exile in various media.Hatta ‘s  action caused the  Dutch colonial government began to focus on Party of National Education of Indonesia and captured the leadership of the party leaders who subsequently exiled to Digul, Papua.At the time of exile in Digul, Hatta active to wrote in various newspapers. He also diligently read the book that he had brought from Jakarta  then he  taught to his friends. Then, in 1935 when the Dutch colonial administration changed, Hatta and Sjahrir relocated to Bandaneira. It was there, Hatta and Sjahrir began to give lessons to local children in the fields of history, politics, and more. After eight years exiled, Hatta and Sjahrir was brought back to Sukabumi in 1942. After a month, the Dutch government surrendered to the Japanese. At the time there was times that Hatta and Sjahrir taken to Jakarta.
In early August 1945, the name of Investigation Board Member Independence Preparation Efforts renamed the Preparatory Committee for Indonesian Independence by Sukarno as Chairman and Hatta as  Vice Chairman.The day before the day of independence echoed, Indonesian Independence Preparatory Committee held a meeting at the house of Admiral Maeda. Committee was consisting only of Soekarno, Hatta, Soebardjo, Soekarni, and the Sayuti formulate proclamation will be read the next day with the signature of Sukarno and Hatta on the proposal Soekarni.On August 17, 1945 in the East Pagesangan 56 precisely 10:00 Indonesia's independence was proclaimed by Sukarno and Hatta on behalf of the Indonesian nation. The next day, on August 18, 1945 Sukarno was appointed as the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Hatta as Vice President.
News of independence of the Republic of Indonesia has celebrated to the Netherlands. Thus, the Netherlands wished  back to colonize Indonesia. In an effort to maintain the independence of Indonesia, Republic of Indonesia government moved to Jogjakarta. There were two rounds of consultations with the Netherlands which produced Linggajati and agreements Reville. However, both these agreements expired failure due to fraud Netherlands.On July 1947, Hatta sought  assistance to India to met Jawaharhal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi. Nehru promised, India can help Indonesia to protest  the actions of the Netherlands and to be punished at the United Nations. The many difficulties experienced by Indonesian people insurgency led by the PKI, while Soekarno and Hatta captive to Bangka. Furthermore, the leadership of the struggle led by General Sudirman.Indonesian people's struggle was not in vain. On 27 Desembar 1949, Queen Juliana provide for recognition of Indonesian sovereignty to Hatta.
After the absolute independence of  Republic of Indonesia, Hatta remained active to give lectures in various educational institutions. He was still actively writing essays and guiding a wide range of cooperative movement in accordance of what it wanted.On July 12, 1951, Hatta speeched  on radio about the anniversary of the Cooperative and  five days later he became father of Indonesian Cooperatives.
Hatta married with Rachim Rahmi on 18 November 1945 in the  Megamendung village, Bogor, West Java. The couple had three daughters namely Meutia, Gemala, and Halida.On March 14, 1980 Hatta died in dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. Because the struggle for the Republic of Indonesia was very large, Hatta was awarded the highest honors the "Star of the Republic of Indonesia Class I" given by President Soeharto.



My Dream

My name is Dyah Budiyanti I come from a small village in Sragen.Everyone have dreams,so do I . I have some dreams that I want to achieve.First, As a child, I wanted to be a child who can raise the dignity of my parent.I would be very happy if my parents proud of me.Second , I want to graduate college in the right time with satisfactory value.I wish my knowledge  will be useful not only for me but also for others. After I graduate I want to work at the tax office, but I also want to be a successful farmer who can empower people .After I succeed I want to build my parent’s home with my own money and build a library in my village because I was sad when I saw the children rarely read the books.
 In the future ,I want to be a good wife and a good mother not only as a wife and mother but I also want to be a friend for my husband and my children.we foster a good family with the foundation of Islam. other than that I want to help my nephews’  education finance because their mother have always helped me in the present. I also want  to go to Mecca for Hajj with my beloved family.One more ,My greatest wish is that I  always be there for my parents .I don’t want my parents  feel lonely in their old age like most parents in the world.

    I think, #my parent# => “my parents” because the word “parent” is plural.

    “#we# foster a good family with the foundation of Islam...” (second paragraph).
    I think, the word “w” at the sentence is using capital characters “W”.

    “#other than that# I want to help my nephews’ education finance because their mother have always helped me in the present.
    I think, #Other than that# will be simple if you replaced by “Besides that”.
