Hermawan Kartajaya was born on 18th of November 1947. He is an Indonesian marketing expert. Since 2002, he served as President of the World Marketing Association and by The Chartered Institute of Marketing which is based in England he was crowned as 50 Gurus Who Have Shaped The Future of Marketing. He is also served as President of Mark Plus & Co now, the consultant management company based on Asia who is in established since 1990.
Kartajaya ever underwent in Electrical Engineering Institute of Sepuluh November, but it should be get out because of the economic problems. In 2010, ITS Surabaya conferring Doctor Honoris Causa, the first in history, to Hermawan Kartajaya to the achievement of marketing science world. Hermawan Kartajaya active write books about the world of marketing. Kartajaya was a first Indonesia who entered the domain of international marketing with a model he makes own. He also founder and President of Mark Plus always said if want to build a strong brand companies should not just rely on advertising. The company should do something in mind of consumers, it is not just to sell but have longer term implications.
