I posted some feedbacks as comments for each group's work at Writing Project Akt A Blog yesterday and I make a posting to collect them into one page.

Well, I would like to give some reviews and feedbacks for some group’s works. In general i like all of these sentences but i also get some eror sentences for each tenses.

Work#3 for 1st Group
Present Tense : for 2nd sentence, you can add an article for spesific noun. like in this case you have to add a prefix with “the”. It must be written “The Goverment...”
Past Tense:
These examples are very complicated but i like all of these :-D
2nd sentence , it shows “you have finished it” so i think the exact word for “worked” must be replaced by “finished” or “did” ^_^
Present Continous Tense : In this case, 1st and 2nd for each sentence has no adverb, may be you can use “now, at the moment, tomorrow etc”
Past Continous Tense : Like i had written the review before, In this case some sentences have no adverb and you have to add adverb like this “.....the stock exchange for hours”
Using “when” must be replaced by “while” because it’s wrong. I will show you some formulas ...” past cont. Tense when past tense” so “when” must be followed with Past Tense, but While/As must be followed with simple past cont.
Past Perfect Tense : i would like to give a suggestion for 2nd sentence, because it means as “Past Tense” if you want to change into “Past Prefect Tense Form” you have to replace “a years ago” with “in 2007” for example.
3rd sentence means daily activity because it has an adverb “three times in week” i think you should use it for simple present tense. It must be replaced by “since my syster bought it a years ago” for example.

Work#3 for Group 3
Present Tense : Using articles like A/An or The is different to applied in some sentences. “The” is used for spesific noun but “A/An” is used for non-spesific noun. In this case you can add “The”, So it must be written... “The Indonesia Health Card...”
Past Perfect Tense : i think you should add any adverb in this case for example “since a week ago”

Work#3 Group 4
Present tense : generally, your sentences are good, but i think there’re some erors, like “using of verb” for each subject, In this case “I always washes...” it means “washes” must be replaced by “wash” and also “brushes” must be replaced by “brush”. I will show you some formulas “I, They, We, You + verb1 + O” it’s simple , and “She, He, It + Verb1/s/es+O”.
I haven’t found it yet like that before, I think “...for 2014-2015 periods” it means “Perfect Tense Form” it will be simple and easy if you write”Mr Jokowi is the President of Indonesia” it’s enough ^_^
Present Continous Tense : I think these are not complete sentences without adverb. You can fullfil them with “Now, At the Moment, tomorrow etc.” I have just read the sentence “The rain was pouring heavy” . it is very complicated i think it will be simple if you replace it with “It was rain..” it’s enough. ^_^

Work#3 for Group 6
There are some wrong assumptions between using “when” and “while”. In this case i will show you some formulas about it : Past Continous tense When Past Tense & Past Continous Tense While/As Past Continous Tense. Your example that “I was sleeping when my mother was cooking yesterday” you should replace “when” with “while”.

Work#3 Group 7
Your sentences are simple ^_^ but i find some erros on your examples about “Past Tense & Perfect Tense Form” . It written “I had played football after I exercised” you should replace “after” with “before” or you have to change the sentence “I played football after I had exercised” . that’s enough ^_^

I conclude that many of the example sentences are correct but they often neglect some little things like adverb for example. Thanks.
Best Regards

  1. "3rd sentence means daily activity because it has an adverb “three times in week” i think you should use it for simple present tense. It must be replaced by “since my syster bought it a years ago” for example." (work#3 group 1)

I am sorry Hendra, allow me to correct your feedback :)
When the 3rd sentence emphasis on "three times in week", I also find the sentence can use the simple present tense. Because, it means "daily activity". It must be replaced by "I read the book three times a week". If the sentence is past perfect tense, it must be replaced by "I had read the book two years ago".

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
