GROUP 1
1. PRESENT TENSE
“He goes to Jakarta to get the better job.”
You should replace the word “the better” with “a better”.
Because “better” is to compare two different situation. You can use “the” is
for “the best”
“He goes to Jakarta to get a better job.”
2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
“Indonesia’s kurs
is growing up today”
I think better change the word “Indonesia’s kurs” with
“Rupiah’s exchange rate”
“Rupiah’s
exchange rate is growing up today”
GROUP 4
1. PRESENT TENSE
“I always washes my face and brushes my teeth before going to
bed”
The Formula of Simple Present Tense is : I/You/We/They + V1
He/She/It +
V1 +s/es
“I always wash my face
and brush my teeth before going to bed”
2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
“My friend are helping me to solve my problem”
The word “my friend (without ‘s’)” means a person, so you
should use “is” not “are”
“My friend is helping
me to solve my problem”
GROUP 5
1. PAST TENSE
“The thief
had run away after he got alot of money from the bank”
I think the correct sentence is “ The thief run away after
he had gotten a lot of money from the Bank”
Why? Because “he run away” happen after “he get a lot of
money”, so you use past perfect tense for “he get a lot of money” and past
tense for “he run away”
2. PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
a. " a consumers were competing to get the product"
You use "a" is for single noun so, you can change the sentence with "a costumer was competing...." or "the customers were competing" it is for plural noun.

You use "a" is for single noun so, you can change the sentence with "a costumer was competing...." or "the customers were competing" it is for plural noun.
b. "Riza
is studying math with her friends in her
house at the moment”
Riza is a boy, so you use “his” not “her”
“Riza is studying math with his friends in
his
house at the moment”
GROUP 7
1. PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
“Yuli was watching television when I cleaned the floor”
The sentence “Clean the floor” you should use past
continuous for this activity (because this is not a short activity), and change
the word “when” into “while”
“Yuli was watching television while I cleaning the
floor”
2. PAST PERFECT TENSE
“I had played
football after I exercised”
Because you “excercise” before “play football”, so you
should use Past Perfect for “exercise” and Past Tense for “play football”. So
the correct sentence is “I played football after I had exercised”.
“I played football after I had exercised”
GROUP 9
1. PAST TENSE
“I bought many clothes to
my family”
You should use “for” not “to”, it will be better. So the
correct sentence is “I bought many clothes for my family”.
“I bought many clothes for my family”
2. PAST PERFECT TENSE
“Fauzy had sent me a
email before he called yesterday”
Don’t use “a” for “a email”, you should use “an” for “an
email”
“Fauzy had sent me an email before he called yesterday”
GROUP 10
1. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
“Don't go anywhere! our office boy is making some glass of coffee for us”
The word “some” means plural, so you should write “some

2. PRESENT TENSE
“This annual report is not complete, please check your notes
and say to me as soon as possible. I'm
really need this document”
Don’t use “to be” before Verb. So you should write “I really

“you have to saw
the labels before you bought it”
After “to”, you use V1, so the correct sentence is “You have

b. He was washing his car while his assistant cleaned his garden.
c. Vitta was making some cakes while her mother went to the market
For all sentences, you better use “when” not “while” because
its short activity and change the sentence into past continuous or past tense
(for when)
a.
I was recording supplies inventory when my
partner moved this car to the parking area”
b.
“He was washing his car while his assistant

director tomorrow morning as soon as possible”
The formula : He/she/it + v1+s/es. The correct sentence is
“she must brings it to the director”
GROUP 12
1. PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS
“I had been
helping make a cupcake when my sister called me”
The word “help” is a verb which is following by “to”, so you
should write “I had been helping to make a cupcake when my sister called me”.
1. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

3, PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE

The word “come” is for present tense, so you can use V2 for
past tense. You should write “She was reading a novel with me in terrace when
you came here”
